Whats the point?

I really cant understand the point of this app. It shows me my battery charge level, which is already displayed N the upper right corner of every iPhone by default. It tells me whether its charging or not, but that is also displayed in the upper right corner (plus if its charging that means I plugged it in myself! Duh!). I bought this because it was recommended by a friend but I really cant understand what the point of it is.
